Getting Started with DevNet

The #Init6 team were lucky enough to catch up with Ryan Rose of Cisco DevNet to spend some time talking about how DevNet are supporting the network engineer in getting started in programmability, and the software developer get started with network technologies.

He was good enough to spend time walking us through the website showing us how it is designed to take you on a learning journey, starting with setting up your PC for development, passing through APIs, programming languages etc, and ending up at sharing your code with the wider community.

Ryan's enthusiasm for his topic is infectious, and it left the team desperate to get logged in to DevNet and trying all the sandboxes, labs and learning modules that are provided for free.

#init6 team get the scoop on VIRL2 We got a question from a viewer about Cisco's VIRL2 product, when it is coming and how it compares with its predecessor feature-wise and in user experience.  So what do we do in that situation?  We put a call in to Cisco and they give us access to Joe Clarke, Distinguished Engineer, to walk us through the new product and give us a heads-up on release dates etc! #init6 team and the CCNA Study Group As we know, the CCNA syllabus is changing, and to support engineers studying for the new version of the certification, Learning@Cisco has created the  CCNA Study Group  on the  Cisco Learning Network  and enlisted a number of experts in the field to help students negotiate their way through the minefield of study!
